This Is Not a Government Office. This is a private reference resource. It cannot retrieve official records, conduct an official background check, correct a government file, or accept a Georgia record-restriction request. Those services must come from the responsible public office.
Need an Official Record?
Choose the Liberty County office based on who created or maintains the record:
- Court case files: use the Liberty County criminal court cases route or contact the Clerk of Superior, State, Juvenile, and Magistrate Courts
- Criminal history and self-review: follow the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Georgia Crime Information Center process
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: call the Liberty County Jail at 912-876-6411 or the sheriff's open-records line at 912-876-4555
- Official state checks: use GCIC guidance and the Georgia Applicant Processing Service when a fingerprint-based statutory check applies
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Record restriction: follow GCIC's process and contact the arresting agency, prosecutor, or court required for the arrest date and disposition
For a known court file or disposition, contact the Liberty County Clerk of Courts, 201 South Main Street, Suite 1200, Hinesville, GA 31313, at 912-876-3625 or clerk@libertycountyga.gov. The clerk does not conduct broad criminal-history searches.
For sheriff-created records, contact the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, 201 South Main Street, Suite 1300, Hinesville, GA 31313, at 912-876-4555 or sheriffopenrecords@libertycountyga.gov. The headquarters counter is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Jail and current booking questions go to 912-876-6411.
For GCIC self-review, correction, or record-restriction status, use the official GBI process. GCIC publishes 404-244-2639 and gacriminalhistory@gbi.ga.gov for criminal-history help.
